We really didn’t do much today, on Jeff’s recommendation we went to Steve’s Cafe for breakfast, voted the “Best breakfast in Helena” it seemed to be a good choice. This was a first encounter with a truly massive breakfast and the waitress warned me that I should go for two pancakes, not the four I ordered. It turned out this was the right move because I still couldn’t finish two, stacked on top of each other it looked like a whole victoria sponge! It was very tasty though and as ever Tom hoovered up my leftovers so all was good.
We went in the Big Sky Cycling and Fitness and Tom bought himself a T shirt, despite the fact he was now going to have to carry it on his bike.
In the evening I speculatively went on the Warm Showers app to see if there was a way we could stay in Helena a bit longer, we liked the town and decided a few more days would be nice. Jeff and Sue were going off to a thing at the Adventure Cycling Association so would be out of town.
As luck would have it there was another local, Dawn, who it turned out they knew and we arranged to camp out on Dawn’s lawn for a few days. This would give us the chance to ride the local trail network and recharge the batteries too, our batteries that is.
