Day 6 and the weather was back to fine and it looked like an easy “short” day of only sixty miles, little did we know it would be the day with the most climbing, despite the shorter distance. Turns out in Cornwall you’re either up top or at sea level and there are no flat bits in between.
That said we had an amazing day with several ferry rides and some great fishing villages to get food and ice cream in. But we were very happy to finally close in on Newquay and celebrated with a couple of pints before heading to the camp site.
So this turned out to be an awesome trip, I have to say a big thank you to my partner in crime Chris, who pushed me hard the whole way, getting in some big back to back days. All good practice for the Tour Divide next time….
