March 2017 bivvy a month, the weather was not exactly what we were looking for with really high winds and the threat of rain. We got a decent ride in first to keep warm and had a quick whiskey in the George at Burpham. Then we headed up on to the South Downs Way. I had a bivvy spot in mind, but the wind was so high we had to look for an alternative, the chalk pits above Storrington were just out the wind, but only just. We had to resort to tarps in the end as it started raining, but as is the way we still had a decent night. Up early and into town for a Small Batch Coffee, a good night out.
