2019 Bivvy a month: March

Bivvy a Month

Well March was a good month, I managed to squeeze in two bivvies 🙂

First off was one organised on the Tour Divide Race Facebook page, Steve was looking for people in the South of England who had been out on the divide to chat with. Dom Irvine (last year’s northbound winner and I teamed up with Dom’s mate James and we did a decent sized loop and talked TD for 24 hours. It was a great ride, though very windy due to a storm, we bivvied in the New Forest and rode back the following day with a roaring tailwind.

I didn’t get to take many pictures as the focus was definitely on the riding and keeping moving as you would need to if trying to set a good time out on the divide.

Then it was out with the usual local crew for something altogether more relaxed….

As I knew I was going somewhere with trees I took the hammock.

We went to our usual spot.

It was a clear night and there was decent light from the moon as well.
